Digital marketing is divided into various types, and the types are again subdivided.

There 7 main types of digital marketing.

  • Affiliate Marketing
  • Social Media Marketing
  • Content Marketing
  • Mobile Marketing

1) SEO

SEO is the kingpin of digital marketing.

Search engine optimization is the process of increasing the quality and quantity of relevant organic traffic to your website from search engines.

2)SEM

Pay per click (PPC), Cost per click (CPC),
Sponsored Search, Google Ads, and there are lots of names that are associated with SEM.

Search engine marketing is the practice of marketing a business using paid advertising on search engines and other websites.

3) E-mail Marketing

E-mail Marketing is a traditional type of digital marketing.

E-mail Marketing is an effective way to capture high-quality leads and converts them into customers by sending personalized emails to the targeted audience.

4) Affiliate Marketing

It is an effective way for digital marketers to generate a commission as referral sales by them.

Affiliate marketing involves a merchant paying commission to one or more affiliates.

5) Social Media Marketing

There are various platforms of social media, among them Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest are the most popular.

Social media marketing involves creating different types of content and sharing it on various social media platforms to promote products and services.

6)Content Marketing

Content marketing is an effective way to promote your Content.

Content marketing is a technique of creating and distributing valuable online content ( videos, blogs, etc) to the targeted audience.

7) Mobile Marketing

Mobile marketing involves only mobile not others like desktop etc.

It is a digital marketing strategy that enables a company to reach the target audience in a relevant manner through any mobile devices via messages, e-mails, and app install ads.
